Hi, I’m Emily!

I’ve been a natural light & studio photographer for the past 12 years. I picked up a camera seriously in high school & had the opportunity to intern with a lot of talented photographers working professionally in the industry. I went on to use my love for creating to fund my education, and now have an outlet I love for creativity!

I love visiting bucket list places with my clients (near or far!) and getting to create new memories associated with those images!

Victoria Tower, CA

Another bucket list location was Alaska, I absolutely loved the mountains, history and the wildlife!

Why I do what I do…

Growing up I wanted to take “fun” photos. I didn’t like that photography was reserved for “fancy” occasions. I wanted to wear princess dresses and take photos. I wanted photos of myself inspired by the books I’ve read- where I’m the main character. And sometimes I wanted photos where I looked like me without any extra fancy makeup or outfits added.

I’ve done my best to remember that, and create space for genuine moments, laughs, chaos, and even concepts that I haven’t photographed before.

I photograph because I want you to look good, feel good, have fun, and remember the moments you created during the session every time you look at them.

If I’m not photographing or editing you’ll probably find me…

  • Drinking Coffee

My husband and I share a love for good coffee. This means TONS of coffee based adventures and I love that I can share this with him. I’m also probably looking for more mugs for my coffee cup collection!

  • At Disneyland

I’m a nerd through and through but my lifelong dream is to be a Princess. I’ve accepted that won’t happen at this point but It hasn’t stopped me from wearing princess crowns during all hours of my day!

  • Reading

I’m an avid reader, I want nothing more in life than to have my own two-story library with built in ladder. While I’m not quite there yet, a girl can dream! I’m probably trying to compete against my own yearly book/word count!

I am married to the love of my life Chris!

Chris and I met in August 2018 on a camping trip that both of our families went on. Little did we know my aunt had been trying to set us up for years! We ended up hitting it off (following our mutual love of coffee, Disney, Harry Potter, and even attending the same university!) But alas, Chris moved across the country the next week. After a year of long distance he moved back to CA, where we enjoyed coffee dates, and trips to Disney for another year. We got married April 2021, and have been living our best lives ever since!

We love traveling, coffee shops, searching for new vegan places, and time with family!

This photo jumpstarted my entire photography career.

I lined up the camera lens with her pupil perfectly- when I saw it in editing I was blown away by the fact it was my photo. It made me think- “Maybe I could be good at this”. And the rest was history
